View Google Maps in its new RPG-style Quest View

Keeping in mind that it’s April Fools’ Day tomorrow this might be a little joke from Google a little early, but we don’t care as it’s cool! Head over to maps.google.com in order to see Google Maps in a total new way. Most of you reading this will at least have seen Pokémon at some stage and will be familiar with the graphics. Now imagine Google Maps but in the same style!

I am not entirely sure of the requirements but it does suggest only the latest browsers will allow it. I’ve tried it in Chrome, Firefox and IE9 and those all work. Once you’ve loaded the page there should be a button in the bottom left to “try Quest View”. If there is not you can always try selecting it from the top right of the map area. Don’t expect this to hang around for long as Google are well known for their April Fools’ Day pranks!
