The video is part of a campaign by the charity Invisible Children and has become somewhat of a viral sensation online. The campaign aims to make Joseph Kony famous, not to celebrate him, but to raise support for his arrest and set a precedent for international justice. While I’m sure their intentions are admirable it doesn’t necessarily mean they’re not doing it for large personal gains.

BT and TalkTalk have lost their appeal against the Digital Economy Act which is now set to try and curb online file-sharing. Both ISPs argued that the law was incompatible with EU legislation, however the courts disagreed.

Last year the MPA won a court case which required BT to block Newzbin2 and at that point it was predicted that many more would follow. Their next target was obviously going to be The Pirate Bay as it is regarded as the largest advocates of online piracy. Today that became a realisation with nine labels requesting The Pirate Bay be blocked.
